Research & Publications

Advancing our understanding of health through everyday life, movement, and person-centered care.

My research explores how the ways we move, participate, and structure our daily lives influence health and well-being. Using intensive longitudinal methods and occupational science, I study how everyday experiences shape health in real-world settings—and how that knowledge can be translated into practical strategies that improve people's lives.

Research Interests

My research explores how everyday life influences health, participation, and well-being. I am particularly interested in the following areas:

Everyday Environments, Movement & Grounded Living

How the environments we create and the ways we sit, move, and interact with our surroundings influence health and well-being.

Physical Activity & Well-Being

Understanding how movement influences mood, emotional well-being, and quality of life in everyday life.

Everyday Life & Occupational Science

How routines, occupations, environments, and everyday experiences shape health, participation, and meaning.

Person-Centered Health & Chronic Disease

How individual patterns of behavior, symptoms, and daily experiences can inform more personalized approaches to health and chronic disease management.
